What kind of data can be analyzed?

VisiSOM, VisiSammon and VisualData read comma and tab delimited text files. Practically all spreadsheets and most scientific programs can already produce suitable text files that can be processed with these products.

However, the data must be organized in a tabular format such that the columns represent variables and the rows represent data points (items). When a data file is imported, some columns are used as training variables on which the classification is based. These training variables must be expressed in a numeric form. Non-numeric variables can also be used for training, but the variables must be converted to numeric form first. This conversion (binarization) is a standard feature in all Visipoint's SOM technology products.

Non-numeric variables, such as names and addresses, are not used in training but are visible along with the original data. This allows you to profile customer data and find interesting customer groups while keeping track of the names and addresses of the customers in each group, for example.

How do you protect my credit card number?

Your security is of utmost importance to us and therefore we have opted not to store your credit card information in to our systems. In fact, we do not even need to know your credit card number when you do business online with us.

I spilled water on my HASP key - is it safe to plug it in to the computer?

The HASP keys should not be exposed to water or any other liquid under normal circumstances. However, the keys are small and portable, and accidents may happen.

Our test team has soaked and laundered some HASP keys, and we have found that the keys do function properly after exposure to water, given enough time to dry. If your HASP key becomes immersed in water, you may let it dry for a few days and plug it in to your computer at your own risk. However, if you are in any doubt, just send us the HASP key and we will send you a new HASP key in return. Please contact us for more information.
